JISCO Alpart Specializes in the refining of Bauxite Ore into Alumina using the Bayer Process. Alpart was founded in 1969 as a joint venture by Kaiser Aluminum, Reynolds Aluminum, and Anaconda. This facility is rated at 1.65 MMTPY and is Jamaica's Largest Alumina Refinery.

Alpart is owned jointly by Kaiser and Hydro, a Norwegian firm. The JBI regulates and monitors the operations of bauxite companies, oversees and controls their access to lands for mining as well as monitors environmental effects and damages caused by the operations.
