Mar 01, 2013· I actually got better work from my combined lathemill - never, ever again - by building a vertical slide for it ( using parts from an old shaper which had been broken down ) and going 'old school' as if the milling head didn't exist at all. Oct 11, 2013· It's easily done if you have the right lathe to start with. I've got a Myford ML8 wood turning lathe but have fitted a compound slide from the ML7 to allow light metal turning. I've also modified an ML7 vertical slide to fit on the top slide so I have 3-axis milling capability as well.
