Aug 11, 2014· Here is a peek under the hood of a Crystal Lake grinder that has been sitting at a machinery dealer in New Jersey for 3-4 years. Lower left looks like a rheostat to change the rpm of the workhead. Mine is set up about the same except that there is a variable speed drive mounted to the workhead drive motor so there is no rheostat.
