Ideally it's exactly 90 degrees but it's most likely out by some small amount. 2. The relationship of the head/spindle to the column in the y axis is fixed (no nod).

Feb 27, 2005· Looking for opinions on a 20" Square Column Mill/drill that ENCO offers. My interest in the machine is conversion to CNC. The homebuilt milling machines I have built are just not rigid enough to machine steel. It is unrealistic to think I could build a machine with dovetail ways, spindle and motor for what a mill/drill costs.
